According to Order No. 117-D of the Rector of KSU Oleksandr Spivakovskyi dated February 25, 2026 (based on the decision of the Academic Council of the University, Minutes No. 11 dated February 23, 2026), starting July 1, 2026, the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics and the Faculty of Biology, Geography and Ecology have been merged.

The newly created structural entity was named the Faculty of Digital Technologies, Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

Honoring the history and academic journey of the predecessor faculties, we preserve a complete digital archive. Materials and information regarding the activities of the units prior to 2026 can be accessed via the following links:

Departmental Structure

As a result of the merger, the department structure was reorganized: four robust departments were formed from the six previously functioning departments (three from each faculty):

  • Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering — continues to operate without changes.
  • Department of Geography and Ecology — continues to operate without changes.
  • Department of Biology and Teaching Methodology — formed through the merger of the Department of Human Biology and Immunology and the Department of Botany.
  • Department of Physics and Mathematics Disciplines and Teaching Methodology — formed through the merger of the Department of Algebra, Geometry and Mathematical Analysis and the Department of Physics.
