Kherson State University

Ten students of the preparatory department of Kherson State University received recommendations for state-funded study. This is the first significant result of KSU's participation in the experimental project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine «Open Path to Higher Education».

Eleven students of the «Social Work» and «Psychology» specialties at Kherson State University completed their participation in the international camp «Mindrise: The Respite, Recovery & Resilience Camp», which took place from July 20 to 30 in the Polish city of Płock.

On August 1, the acceptance of applications for studies for the bachelor's degree and for the master's program in the specialty «Medicine» ended.

Representatives of Kherson State University actively participated in the presentation and public discussions of the draft updated Strategy for the Development of the Kherson Region for the period up to 2027, which took place on July 28–29 in Mykolaiv.

On July 27, an official online partnership meeting was held between Kherson State University and the leadership of the University of Lübeck (Germany) – one of Europe's leading medical universities. 

4th-year student of specialty 122 Computer Science Artem Shevchenko won the regional classical chess tournament "S.A. Golubev Memorial". 

The publication «Intent» published an article about the journey of Kherson State University from forced relocation to one of the most successful examples of the transformation of Ukrainian higher education amidst the full-scale war.

Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor, Distinguished Educator of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Honorary Doctor of Sciences of Kherson State University Mykhailo Serhiyovych Lvov received a lifetime scholarship from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for outstanding achievements in the field of higher education.

The project «Digitalization of higher education in Ukraine through increasing awareness in the field of Data Science» (DSHub), developed by a powerful international consortium of universities, including Kherson State University, has successfully passed selection and received support within the Erasmus+ program (Capacity Building in Higher Education).

The RESQUE-UA project, coordinated by Kherson State University, successfully passed expert evaluation within the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education 2026 competition. The initiative, aimed at strengthening institutional resilience and the development of displaced Ukrainian universities, received 83 out of a possible 100 points and was included in the grant support reserve.

The "National Ecosystem of Dual Higher Education in Ukraine" project (DUAL-UA), developed by a powerful international consortium of universities, including Kherson State University, has successfully passed selection and received support within the Erasmus+ program (Capacity Building in Higher Education).

11 students majoring in "Social Work" and "Psychology" at Kherson State University have begun participating in the international program "Mindrise: The Respite, Recovery & Resilience Camp", which will take place from July 20 to 30 in the Polish city of Płock.

Kherson State University PhD student Yevheniya Morozova and lecturer Anastasiia Volianiuk present the results of their research at the XXVIII International Congress of the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP 2026). The event took place on July 14–18, 2026, in Leuven (Belgium).

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ DigiUni: Digital University — Open Ukrainian Initiative project («Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative») a powerful server worth $55 thousand was received.

Students and faculty of Kherson State University became participants in the program of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Training Citizens for National Resistance.

In 2026, all applicants registered or declared in the TOT or areas of active hostilities are entitled to admission under quota-2. This means that they participate in a separate competition for state-funded places and do not compete for them alongside other applicants.

Olena Medvid, a graduate of the medical faculty of Kherson State University, successfully passed KROK-3 and officially received her certificate as an infectious disease specialist. In her new capacity, she will continue to work at the Kherson Infectious Disease Hospital.
